Sto-Plain Slumpie



Nice one, I used minced venison for this particular photo. And my mash contained equal amounts of turnips and potatoes. What can I say, age...




500g minced meat

3 cloves of garlic

100 g. Fresh mushroom

375 frozen spinach

1 tbsp tomato puree

1 tbsp of cornstarch

oil

1 cup of stock

1 cup dark ale

Sage, mustard, salt, and pepper


Preparation


1. Brown the meat with garlic in oil, 

2. Add mushrooms, stock, and ale and bring to boil

3. Add spinach and the rest of the ingredients and simmer for half an hour.

4. At the very end, add cornstarch mixed with a bit of cold water and bring back to boil


Serve over mash.
